Merge Replication

I have a SQL Server 2000 SP3 on Windows 2000. I’ve been trying to change to transactional replication but with no success. I can’t delete the subscriber, publisher, distribution. I have tried sp_dropmergesubscription,sp_dropmergepublication etc. Nothing seems to work. I have thought of reinstalling SQL Server but I’m not looking fwd to this. What are my choices? Thanks in advace for your help.
What was the error or information when running those 2 procedures? Try running sp_mergesubscription_cleanup procedure. Satya SKJ

I ran sp_dropmergesubscription and received the following error message; MSG 8114,Level 16,State 4, Procedure sp_dropmergesubscription,Line 0
"Error Converting Data Type nvarchar to bit" Previously I ran sp_mergesubscription_cleanup and it was successful.Only that nothing was deleted and all subscriptions remained untouched. Please help.
