anyone have any idea about Metadata database comes with versions b4 sql2000?

No. The only metadata you will find in any version of SQL server is in the system tables located in all tables with extra system tables in the master database.

ok Thnx Moon. i had seen one database named Metadata in some servers. i think tht may be some user created database. thnx once again
