Hi Bros/Gals, Thanks for reply of my first query, i have sucessfully reduce the size of file. Now one another critical question is: i am going to migrate a DB from SQL Server2000 to SQL Server2005, can anybody help how this task will be done within short time. Thanks, Irfan Baig.
This has been discussed here many times under SQL 2005 forum section. Few links fyi:

imo there is no "… in short time … " when preparing an upgrade to SQL2005 !
It is a huge change, not only to the db-engine internal.
It will cope with about everything you may have.
It is the toolset that will take up most of your time to get used to.
And it’s still worth it !

Baig, It depends on what kind of upgrade you are doing…side by side or in place upgrade?
Side by side upgrade is the fastest way to finish the upgrade with less hassels…
Where is inplace upgrade in non-predictable, if anything goes wrong during inplace upgrade there is no easy rollback other than re-installing and restoring backups… So preferred method will be side by side upgrade…
Follow the links mentioned by Satya and make sure you run the upgrade advisor and test it on dev/qa before doing upgrade…

You cannot simply rush through for the sake of deadline dates, if the database is most required for your business then ensure you have tested the upgrade process thorougly. Otherwise you will come back here stating performance has gone down. Always prevention is better than cure, in this case take your time to tune the issues.

Thanks for immediate reply, Actually i had used Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Upgrade Advisor in past and i was fail to migrate database from SQL Server2K to SQL Server2.5K i am just want any guide lines or some simple steps to sucessfully complete this process. Thanks, Irfan Baig.
There is no quick-fix or magic to enable the upgrade, as referred review the above links and also find where exactly your upgrade failed in the past. By any means having a test run of upgrade will get you more practice to handle the live migration. Satya SKJ

Hi, Upgrade Advisor shows the following error message after completion of migration process: The connection string to repository needs to be specified in the 9.0 server properties (see <DSO>…</DSO> section in msmdsrv.ini file from Analysis Services 9.0). Note: And the following is the section of <DSO> </DSO> of msmdsrv.ini file from my computer <DSO>
<RemoteRepositoryConnectionString/>
<RepositoryConnectionString/>
<RemoteLocksDirectory/>
<LocksDirectory/>
</DSO> Thanks,
Irfan Baig.
