There was a good article in SQL Mag recently by Kalen Delaney about these DMVs. I have recently used them to great affect to help performance on 2005. March 2007 issue, Instant DocID 94884

A suggestion if you do need to refer the links etc for a good readup, why not ask Webmaster to get you a login for Blog and then input your information, this way I believe its best to go about it. Satya SKJ
