New SQL Server Registration
I just installed MSDE 2000 on Windows 2000 Professional and I’m trying to perform a new SQL Server Registration. I cannot do this because the wizard ends every time with a message saying "SQL server does not exist or access is denied". The wizard is also asking me to put in a username/password given to me by the administrator but it’s me the administrator on this PC and I don’t know the username/password. Also – the MSDE did not install any Query Analyzer, Profiler etc, so I installed them from the CD with MS SQL Server for servers… Any help is greatly appreciatedKBAhttp://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;Q328306 to resolve the error you’re getting. You need to purchase them. If you installed them from a CD with MS SQL Server for servers you need to pay for it. <img src=’/community/emoticons/emotion-1.gif’ alt=’
