new to dbaHI Reethu, First of all, let me tell you one thing.
Choose your profession according to your taste and skill not according to the market situations or current salary packages. Datawarehousing is a very good area to get into, but how could you ensure that, you will perform in that. One year before your choice was SQL. Now you are saying that, you are not good in SQL. So better you find yourself about your skills and where you can improve. Let me tell you one thing, this is my 4th year in SQL. Still I am not good in this area. The reason is, SQL has very huge area to know. The more you try, the more you learn, the more you learn, the more you are confident.
First identify your strong area and get into that. All the best.

I wouldn’t necessarily consider a career move after only one year unless you just hate the job. One year isn’t really enough time to get comfortable and good at the career or field you have chosen. In the first couple years of a job, go the extra mile to study, participate in communities, and learn as much as you can. Take challenges whenever they are presented to help stretch yourself. After you’ve done this two or three years then evaluate yourself, look how far you have travelled, and decide if it’s a direction you want to keep travelling in. I suggest to choose what do you like and enjoy to do. Some times is very hard, but at end you will have your self recognition (hope you understand because my English).
