number of records retrieve in sql server

i am planning a SQL Server 2005 with 4 databases with high refeering (in our company) to them.
my question is that? how many records sql server can get in its process in milli seconds or simultanously? is there any information for that? tahnks
Given the information you have supplied, the best answer would be: lots. Beware that bad design and bad maintenance can ruin performance. … sorry, just a little annoyed at the broad question. All you probably want to know is TPC benchmarks, which don’t tell you much about everyday databases hosted on everyday hardware.
you have locked my topichttp://www.sql-server-performance.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=17914 but in this topic i mean i have a database named "nnn" which i want to to know how many records is called for this database named "nnn". how can i get this number for this database ,for example using profiler or something like this. but in this topic i asked about the capability of the sql server 2005. any way thanks
Sorry, I’ve unlocked it now again. [<img src=’/community/emoticons/emotion-1.gif’ alt=’:)‘ />]<br /><br />–<br />Frank Kalis<br />Moderator<br />Microsoft SQL Server MVP<br />Webmaster:<a target="_blank" href=http://www.insidesql.de>http://www.insidesql.de</a>
