ok.. im feeling stupid…

I cant recall how to output to text (not file) and get all the columns lined up from a query. I am looking to pad the results. I tried casting it out to char and that doesnt do the trick.. any thoughts? By the way.. it works fine in sql2000. just not in 2005’s Management Stud

Depends on the FONT you’re using for the display. Use fixed-with, like Courier.
