Oracle for SQL Programmers

I’m just wondered if anyone has come across an oracle book or website what they would recommend for sql programmers. All of the oracle books I’ve consulted make absolutely no sense to me. It’s like they are written for some database theory class and not the real world. Every task that takes 10sec in sql takes me an hour just to figure out which tool and what syntax I should use. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
