Problems with SP4

I have downloaded the file SQL2000.MSDE-KB884525-SP4-x86-ENU.EXE from microsofts website. The page said that it would update the Desktop Engine. I ran the file and then ran the setup.exe that the file creates. I get the following error : The instance name specified is invalid. I have searched through MSDN, but found very, very little. Has anyone else ran into this problem? Live to Throw

Run the setup using
setup /upgradesp sqlrun
, if no avail then try to uninstall MSDE and reinstall afresh. Satya SKJ
