raid giving error

In our backup jobs , the backs and logdumps are put in to RAID(san) and our transaction log backups run once in 1 hour.
in the middle , of running every hour once in a day it’s failing by giving the error message
" Database: TestAccount Timeout configuring virtual device set. (COM error code 80770003) [SQLSTATE 01000] (Message 0) [SQLSTATE 42000] (Error 50000). The step failed." And in the next run after an hour, it’s success.
I am not sure why it’s failing by throwing the error message above

Check the event viewer too for related hardware errors, have you verified with the hardware vendor? Satya SKJ
