Restore of AS db

The following occured on a production sql2005 server (std with no sp).
It was also replicated on an XP workstation with sp1. A new db ‘YCube’ is created and restored from a backup ( cube.abf )
The restore is successful, the datasource is modified and dimensions + cube process OK and can be browsed. Another db ‘XCube’ is created and restored from the same backup ( cube.abf )
The restore is successful, the datasource is modified and dimensions + cube process OK and can be browsed. Sometimes ( most of the time ) the contents of ‘YCube’ are effected in the following ways; 1. the datasource is gone ( physically from disk too ), but not the view.
2. the cube is gone ( physically from disk )
3. the dimensions are never effected. The two db’s are separate locations on disk in that AS creates separate directories.
This seems to not occur when the two db’s are created upfront, then the restores are performed. not ideal! in a production environment. has anybody experienced the same ? or is this a known prob.
I have searched many forums etc and found nothing which indicates this behaviour.
regards
Wayne
