Restoring 15GB database

Hi,
I’m in the process of restoring a 15GB db into our SQL Server 2005 X64 env deployed on iSCSI SAN which takes 2 hours. Lookigninto the Activity Monitor, BACKUP DATABASE process is in SUSPEND mode with the following values:
CPU: 3072
Physical IO: 630
WaitTime : 5570265.
This is a brand new server. We have tested drives using SQLIOSIM which tested OK before deployment.
Appreciate any help
Thanks

15 GB restore shouldn’t more than couple of minutes…
Where is the backup file located when you are restoring?

I’m restoring of a network drive assigned to this node.

Then check the network link between that network drive and this server, find out what is the network speed allocated on the hub.

Thanks!
Apparently our Network Engineer found errors ona few ports at our Data Center which could be the possible source of this slowness.
Will keep you posted if that resolves it or not..

One of our core switch was spitting errors and is in the mode of being replaced.
Appreciate your help.
Thanks
