Service server stopped by itself?

Is that actually possible.
I noticed that Server service in a stage of "stopping"
We had to reboot sQL server 2000 sp3 just to prevent
it to shutdown by itself? I checked the log: the browser has failed to start because the dependant service lanmanserver had invalid status 3 why it happened?

Any message in even viewer?

This doesn’t looks like SQL SErver problem, it tends to be an Active Directory issue.
As referred check throughly Event viewer for detailed information. Satya SKJ
