SET NOCOUNT

Hi, Can anyone tell me that whether we can use SET NOCOUNT ON/OFF inside functions.whenever I am including SET NOCOUNT ON inside the function i am getting an error stating that "Error in SET OPTION" Please advice Thanks and Regards Ravi K
