So Hows SQL 2005

Sorry if am duplicating..(Did not see this topic anywhere )
Has anyone made the conversion frm SQL 2000 to SQL 2005 . How did it go? Read that there is no more DTS (which is a huge pain for us, as we have around 30 DTS packages). Thanks for your time Thanks,

There is a DTS. It’s called SSIS. You can read all about it at the MS site, take virtual labs on it, take the tutorials included in Books Online 2005, etc. There is a migration tool included with it. We are currently evaluating 2005. It looks like it will be a fairly straightforward switch, although changing things to take advantage of all the new, great features in 2005 will take time. True, take time to refer thruhttp://www.microsoft.com/sql site for more information on sQL 2005. For upgrade from previous versions use UPGRADE ADVISOR tool for more information. Satya SKJ
