sp2 for ss005

i am running sqlserver 2005 (x64) in windows 2003 server(x64)
do we need to install sp2 for sqlserver,(it’s going to be the prodution server) [purple]System Requirements

I installed SP2 without any problems on WINDOWS 2003 64bit…and may more people did this… Looks like you did not read the sentence completely…
Read again…those who want to install on Vista and Longhorn check the MS site the link provided…… See the following comment from the link you posted…

As referred by Mohammed it is nothing but if you want to install on Vista & Longhorn review the additional information.
As this is going to be production server, ensure you have tested the SP2 implications on your applications. Satya SKJ
