sp2 hotfix

Microsoft SQL Server 2005 – 9.00.3042.00 (X64) Feb 10 2007 00:59:02 Copyright (c) 1988-2005 Microsoft Corporation Enterprise Edition (64-bit) on Windows NT 5.2 (Build 3790: Service Pack 2) if i am getting this version of sqlserver 2005 for 64 bit, do i need to install this hotfix from the following link?? http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/…a1-ecc4-4c49-8f65-daa6b7800eec&displaylang=en
after applying the sp2’s and hot fixes they are ssaying that we should be in the build
9.00.3054 or 9.00.3159 shall we apply this in production( i am having sql2005 x64 bit)??
If you downloaded sp2 before March 6th you have apply and if not you have apply it…
It is critical patch and resolved issues related to Maintenance Plans file cleanup… You also apply the following cumulative patch instead of the above…for highier build… http://support.microsoft.com/kb/935356/

Refer to this KBAhttp://support.microsoft.com/kb/933508 too for the background of it, fyi The original release version of SQL Server 2005 and SQL Server 2005 SP1 do not have this issue, and the current SQL Server 2005 SP2 download is updated to resolve this issue. If you have not installed the initial release version of SP2, you can download the current release and install it.
