SQL 2000 installation error Data source name ….

Hi, I couldn’t install SQL 2000 Personal on my XP computer. Tried remove the Microsoft SQL Server folder before installing. Please help me. Why have you attempted to remove the folder to SQL server where the uninstallation information is deleted and registry is not updated properly. The only way I can think is remove the MSSQLSErver & Microsoft SQL Server registry keys or try to uninstall from Control Panel –> Add/Remove programs and reboot the machine to reinstall afresh. hi, Can you clean the registry and reinstall it?
Please use some registry cleaner to do that. But be carefull when you play with registry. all the best

Hi all, I solved the problem. There’s no DRIVERS in the ODBC Data Source. I exported from the registry of another computer and then imported to the computer which had the problem. It’s OK. Thanks for all reply. Love in vain is better than love no one.
