SQL 2005 LOG ERROR

Hi guys,
i keep getting "Event id:9001 Log for Database <Dbname> not available" in windows Event Log Any help please

Do you have any issues when connecting to database One of the following actions will correct this error:
Restore from a backup.
Rebuild the log.

yes i can connect to the database via management studio. What do you mean by rebuild log file? AKTHAR

has anybody come across this error.?

did you try with restoring database. I think your log file corrupted. also try to delete the log file and attched it again with out a log file. then it will recreate a log file
