SQL Enterprise on Win 2K Standard

Just installed a SQL Enterprise edition running on Win2K Standard edition. Turn on AWE and managed to configure max server memory to 2.8 GB. Recycled the server and found no error. Question here is do I need to place the /3GB switch at boot.ini ? Do you think this is correct ?
I think Windows 2000 Standard does NOT support the /3GB switch, may check the resource usage with SYSMON.

Satya is correct. You would need Windows 2000 Advanced Server. This might be a good opportunity for an upgraded to Windows 2003. It performs better anyway. MeanOldDBA

No it will not work. To check it use perfmon and in process check for Virtual byts Max and it will be equal to 2Gigs
Use PERFOMANCE MONITORING, Total Server Memory counter in SQLServer:MemoryManager object shows 2.8GB.
