Sql Event 17055

Into the event viewer I got tones of event 17055 about the backup of the transaction log. Those are information and I think that I dont need to have them logged every time. Is there a way to turn off the information log into the event viewer for MSSQLSERVER like for the print spooler into server properties?<br /><br />P.S I’m not a DBA so dont blame me! =P<br /><br />Source MSSQLSERVER <br />Category (6) <br />Event Id 17055<br />18265 : Log backed up : Database: MyDatabase, Creation date(time): 2005/XX/XX <br />First LSN 8:1866:1, Last LSN 8:1866:1, number of dump device 1<br />Device information<img src=’/community/emoticons/emotion-6.gif’ alt=’:(‘ />FILE=1, TYPE=DISK:{‘h:XXXXXXXXXXXX.trn}
from sql backup/transaction log job’s notificaiton section.. please uncheck the ‘Write to windows application event log’
THis will prevent writing to applicaiton events. Deepak Kumar –An eye for an eye and everyone shall be blind

Ok I can do this, but by doing this, will I continue receive Error and warning into the Event Viewer?
simply unchecking will never allow this job to write in application event logs.
if you want this write in application logs when job get failed only.. then you need to select ‘When the job fails’ from dropdown box and keep checked the box.
