SQL server 2000 implementation

Hi,<br /><br />MyDomain + NT 3.51 + SQL 6.5 in prodution.<br />NewDomain + Windows 2003 + SQL 2000 Enterprise in testing.<br />I’ve testing transferring database from SQL 6.5 to SQL 2000 with no problem.<br />Now I’m thinking upgrading the Win2003 + SQL 2000 into production.<br />Does anyone have this kind of experience and would like to give me some advice?[<img src=’/community/emoticons/emotion-5.gif’ alt=’;)‘ />]<br />Thanks.<br /><br />Jason
Do not upgrade the operating system and earlier I followed this process: – install a new Windows 2000 advanced server and SQL 6.5 & SQL 2000
– upgrade the database from 6.5 to 2000 by followinghttp://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/sql/2000/deploy/sqlugrd.mspx andhttp://www.sqlteam.com/item.asp?ItemID=9066 links
– you may wish to upgrade Win2k to Win2k3 by usinghttp://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2003/upgrading/w2k/default.mspx link.
Otherwise you can simply restore the database from win2k – sql 2k to win2k3 environment.
