SQL Server 2000 Job Fails

In maintenance plan history for "Delete old text report" it show status as failed. Where as in properties it shows as 1 file deleted.Then why it show status as fail. Rajeev Kumar Srivastava

Right click the job and select View Job History in that you can see that last successful ran step of the Job.

Also check the maintenance plan log history for further information.
Ensure teh SQLAgent account has required privileges to perform the action. Satya SKJ
