Hi , while installation my SQL Server 2005 on VISTA machine ,it is failing while installing ,workstation components. Below is the error Product : Workstation Components, Books Online and Development Tools
Error : SQL Server Setup Failed to compile the Managed Object Format (MOF) file C:program FilesMicrosoft SQL Server90Sharedsqlmgmproviderxpsp2up.mof. To proceed, see "Troubleshooting an Installation of SQL Server 2005" or "How to: View SQL Server 2005 Setup Log Files" in SQL Server 2005 Setup Help documentation. Just to confirm it is SQL Server 2005 Developer edition.
thanks

What version of Vista are you using? MS Press has XP Pro SP2 as the required OS – no mention of Vista. You might need Vista Ultimate, Vista Business or Vista Enterprise – Enterprise is probably your best bet.
Have you configure the IIS properly before installing the SQL 2005, that should be picked up while installing.
