Using Query analyzer run
XP_MSVER or SELECT @@VERSION

I see the version
but I cannot see the hotfixes made on SQL server !
Based on the version number returned for eg: 7.00.1094 or 8.00.760 and to know the service pack level refer to the link provided for further list of information. BTW what is the value returned at your end?
