SQL Server Service starts and stops automatically

hi,
i have a problem in MS SQL Server7 that the SQL Server Service & SQL Server Agent both start and stop automatically.I checked up the configuration,logins etc. but could not ge the problem resolved.
Please help!!
any entry in the logs? I once had this issue with a misconfigured backup software. Frank

And also check thru event viewer logs for more information.
YOu can set the SQL service account to restart if stopped unexpecteldy. _________
