hi Mahi, as hemant said this maybe due to missing privilege, check whether the SQL Services use local system account or a specific account to start the service. Also if you use a specific username, check in your local security policy or if you have grp policy whether the account has log on as a service rights. hope this helps.
also please post the errors you have in Windows Event log AKTHAR
HI Mahi, In the Documentations, I have read somewhere that, if the Windows application log is full, even then the Agent services will now get start. Can you clean the log and try it? -Johnson

Maybe this is a silly question, but can you start the instance manually? <<I checked in the services whether it is manual or automatic but it is specified to automatic only>> Where did you check this? EM, OS services applet, T-SQL, Registry?
hi guys, i got it, it was my SQL Agent that requires a domain account to start Thanks
