SQL Server Upgrade advisor tool

Hello all, We are planning to upgrade SQL 2000 databases to 2005 databases(side by side), now we are planning to install upgrade advisor tool on production first. we need some information on this tool that this tool should be execute in bussiness hours or in nights on production?
Is this tool can be used to inspect the transaction? if so we should execute this tool in peak hours only, please suggest us on this tool …. Thanks,

If SQL Server upgrade advisor tool can not be used to inspect the teansactions are there any other tools that analyze the live trasactions on the live database and advise on the migration issues. Thanks,
