when we login to server the monitor display GOOD for sqlmangr showing the status Running
but when we log off form the sever the monitor display error for sqlmngr showing status Not Running.
I will not say that the problem is with monitor as I have done same for other servers and in there cases ..they are working fine.
Is this a sql server issue or an operating system issue. Please tell me how cn I fix this issue

This is the big surprise there is nothing on the error log or event viewer. The applications connected with the sql are working fine.We can run the transactions without ne issues.when i check the processes tab of task manager I see SQL server is running with administration account
I have sql 2000 on windows 2003 server
Well Ghement could you tell me what are privillages are needed
If the SQL Server services are up and running on the server, then you need not worry about dispaly in sQLManager status. Check the SQL error log & windows event viewer log for any error or warning messages in this regard. Ensure the SQL SErver service account has required privileges on the server and shares that are dependant on the jobs. Satya SKJ
