sqlserv.exe is consuming excess memeory

Hi aLL,
Imusing sql2005 n have 4 GB of RAM
my server is acting slow n in task manager its showing
sqlservr.exe is consuming around 1 GB of memeory
and there is no locked transaction too. Any idea Many thnx in advance
