SQLServer 2005 icon files

Hi all
i need icon???.dll file that SQLServer 2005 uses
i need icons.
Does anyone know the where is the icon dll file??? Thanks…
Try looking in the resource section of the exe, or take a peek at the file associations in the registry and see where the icon is stored
I would carefully think about using these icons or not. Microsoft does not give permissions to use their stuff, so you can get into serious trouble if they become aware of it. I once asked if I can use the official logos of SQL Server 2000 and SQL Server 2005 on my site and they denied it. <br /><br />Just my $0.02 anyway. i am writing a tool that same as (Microsoft SQL Management Studio) to administor SQL Server, MSDE and SQLEXPRESS in turkish lang.
The difference is Menus will be in Turkish Language. And i want to use the same icons in my program.
Do u really thing is it dangerous???

Well, I would always ask for written permission from Microsoft if you want to sell your product or make it publicly available in some other way. Why risk to get into any trouble, when it can be easily avoided? In Sql Server 2000
i could not find the turkish version of (Enterprise Manager, Query Analyzer or Profiler).
so i wrote the small version of it in turkish. i convert the menus and object names into turkish) also
i have customers which uses MSDE2000. And (Enterprise Manager, Query Analyzer or Profiler) was not shipped with MSDE2000.
Am i wrong???
MSDE was free of charge.
So i cannot install Query Anlayzer, profiler etc. to my customer. so i have to write my own tools… Question ???
Is it legal to copy the Query Analzer(isqlw.exe) to customers which has MSDE witout any licence???
it is not legal!, it their tool. what you can do is, write a separate tool, with different functionalists. so that you can escape. —————————————-

I agree, that it’s not legal.
You only have these client tools when you buy a full-blown license of SQL Server. Though there are several freely available tools on the market that work similar to QA. Check outhttp://www.yohz.com/ for example.

<br />Thank you all..<br /><br />Thats why i wrote my own tool.<br /><br />And i understand that i am not allowed to use the icons of Microsoft in my project.<br /><br />for example. I found some SQL Server 2005 icons below… <br />And i cannot use them in my Project because they belong to Microsoft…<br /><br />C:program FilesMicrosoft SQL Server90ToolsBinnVSShellCommon7ToolsVDT1033vdt80pui.dll<br />C:program FilesMicrosoft SQL Server90ToolsBinnVSShellCommon7IDEProjectItemsCube.ico , Role.ico<br /><br />Then i have to use another icons that are freee…. <img src=’/community/emoticons/emotion-1.gif’ alt=’:)‘ />))))))<br />i have to find different icons for (Table, Stored Procedure, User, Database, Role, Login, Server, Cube etc…. )<br /><br />BUT<br />———————————————–<br />But in my opinion these icons must be public…<br />For example (Open Folder, Printer, etc.) icons also belongs to Microsoft Windows but everyone uses this icon without any permision.(even on this page)<br /><br />Anyway,<br />Thanks you all very much again to make me understood. <img src=’/community/emoticons/emotion-5.gif’ alt=’;)‘ />

dineshasanka – "affordable" is not the same as "free" … And I don’t think Icon Galore would be happy to see someone selling those icons as part of another product, unless there is a signed agreement, or a ‘freely distributable’ clause in your license.
