SQLServer Agent

Using SQL Server 2000 – I am trying to backup a zipped file to a mapped drive on the server. I can set up the job under management / jobs but it does not do the transfer.
The log says The job failed. The Job was invoked by Schedule 82 (DBBACKUP). The last step to run was step 1 (BACKUP). I chose operating system command
it runs
L:DATA BACKLUPSVOPSQLBACKUP.CMD Any help would be appreciated
What is the security account under which SQL Server is running? If it is local system, change this to a user which has the permissions on the remote drive. If this is not the case, use \Server_NameShared_DriveDATA BACKLUPSVOPSQLBACKUP.CMD instead of L:. Gaurav
True, valid point by Gaurav and make sure the SQL service accounts does have necessary admin privileges on all the drives to carry on certain tasks. BTW, are you using any third party tool for backup? _________
