SQLXML and IIS

I’ve gone thru a lot of pain to get SQLXML running over IIS.

with sql 2000 and windows 2003. (we all know 2003 is a little tricky)

I’ve got to create by hand the isapi extension in IIS and allow it to execute.
(after a lot of time of course until I realized what was happening).

The tool that came with sql2000 seems to no function properly in doing all these things automatically in win2003.

Is that right?

What are you supposed to use as IIS XML frontend in win 2003 for sql 2000?

Am I just to stupid or what? ( please don’t answer this one [] )
Ok.

that chapter seems worth reading. (BTW, I’ve tried to download the others chapters, but with no luck [] )
But it don’t deal with win2k3 stuff.

my problems are with IIS 6.0 (w2k3) and XMLSQL (3.0 I think) that came with SQL 2000.

I had to create by hand the isapi extension and allowing it to run.
I just wanted to know if that is the way to go in my scenario ?
