The remote name could not be resolved

Hi,

We have IIS/Report server in one box and database is in another box. SQLReports. Some times we are getting a weird error (The remote name could not be resolved: ‘epgdashboard’). Here ‘epgdashboard’ is the IIS/ReportServer. Users will get a numbered exception error in the UI. (e.g. Exception 516 This error seems to persist unlike the other errors. If a user closes their IE session and opens up a new window they will get the same exception error incremented by 1. (e.g. Exception 5169).

The complete error description is below:

System.Net.WebException: The remote name could not be resolved: ‘epgdashboard’ at Microsoft.SqlServer.ReportingServices2005.Execution.RSExecutionConnection.GetSecureMethods() at Microsoft.SqlServer.ReportingServices2005.Execution.RSExecutionConnection.IsSecureMethod(String methodname) at Microsoft.SqlServer.ReportingServices2005.Execution.RSExecutionConnection.SetConnectionSSLForMethod(String methodname) at Microsoft.SqlServer.ReportingServices2005.Execution.RSExecutionConnection.LoadReport(String Report, String HistoryID) at Microsoft.Reporting.WebForms.ServerReport.GetExecutionInfo() at Microsoft.Reporting.WebForms.ServerReport.GetParameters() at Microsoft.EPG.Web.UI.ReportViewerControl.SetReportParameters(ReportViewer rptViewer) at Microsoft.EPG.Web.UI.ReportViewerControl.RenderReport(String report, String folder, String height, String width, Boolean toolbar, Boolean find, Boolean refresh) at Microsoft.EPG.Web.UI.ReportViewerControl.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) at System.Web.Util.CalliHelper.EventArgFunctionCaller(IntPtr fp, Object o, Object t, EventArgs e) at System.Web.Util.CalliEventHandlerDelegateProxy.Callback(Object sender, EventArgs e) at System.Web.UI.Control.OnLoad(EventArgs e) at System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() at System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() at System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() at System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() at System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() at System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessRequestMain(Boolean includeStagesBeforeAsyncPoint, Boolean includeStagesAfterAsyncPoint)

Can somebody look into it and provide me the solution.

Thanks in advance,

ok
