URGENT ! Foxpro – MS SQL Server

Hi ,
I have a DTS Job that runs from the command prompt using dtsrun successfully… How ever when I schedule this dts run command from the Jobs – using "Operating Command Exec" , it fails This dtsrun is used to transfer data from a SQL Database to a foxpro db… -bzeebee
I don’t have an exact answer for you, but we, unfortunately, also have a DTS job to move data from SQL Server to FoxPro, and back. What we do may or may not apply to you. What we have done is to have the SQL Server and FoxPro databases on separate servers. This is necessary because to made the process work, FoxPro won’t work with the latest MDAC that SQL Server uses, it must use an older MDAC. Then we create the DTS package and run it, and it works for awhile, but the version of MDAC used by the FoxPro driver has a bad memory leak, which means we have to reboot the servers daily. We have contacted Microsoft about this, and they have not provided any solutions. Again, this may or may not apply to you, but it does fit out particular situation. —————————–

Refer to SQLAgent logs for the failure of the job.
As always I refer this KBAhttp://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;Q269074 for more information on scheduling DTS packages for your reference. Satya SKJ
