Use of sysxlogin table

what is the use of "xstatus" column in sysxlogin system table.
can we lock sql login through any sp.i know that we can do it
by xstatus column but i don’t want to use update statement.
i am looking, if it can be done by any sp in sql server. And can we find last password changed date?

That column is for internal use only and that table is undocumented, so its better not to touch with any update statements. And there no other SPs to perform such operations. SQL Server will not track or store the password changes date. Satya SKJ
