Using Mount points with 2005 Cluster
Can anyone give me a good quick lesson on how this is achieved?

I have readhttp://support.microsoft.com/kb/280297/ but have more questions, ie…

Say you are going to put Instance1 on drive Z:, would you need a physical drive Z: on each node of the cluster and then have the mount points within that drive that point to the SAN logical disks? If so, how does the failover work in that scenario?

Any more links that talk about the use of mount points and sql 2005 would be great too, other than something that just says… "2005 can use mount points" <img src=’/community/emoticons/emotion-2.gif’ alt=’
So I think this way it should work do’nt remember correctly that I was working on before<img src=’/community/emoticons/emotion-1.gif’ alt=’

So is the "base" drive local storage, or does it too need to be space allocated on the SAN?
