SQL Server Web Data Administrator enables you to admin a server with only a browser. So, virtually from everywhere where you have access to the internet.
Query Analyzer need to be installed on the machine from which you want to access your server. —

MySQL is a open soruce database system http://builder.com.com/5100-6388-1054385.html

Anita, it’s usually better to start a new thread when you have a new question. That way, more people will get aware of it which in turn increases your chances to get good and quick suggestions. [<img src=’/community/emoticons/emotion-1.gif’ alt=’:)‘ />]<br /><br />The difference between MySQL and SQL Server cannot be described in a few words. Dinesh mentioned probably the most noticeable difference. Maybe you should google a bit. Both systems have been described in many places.<br /><br />Become a DBA? Administrative or developing one?<br />Maybe these give you an idea:<br /<a target="_blank" href=http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/dnsql2k/html/sql_id_com_admn2.asp>http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/dnsql2k/html/sql_id_com_admn2.asp</a><br /<a target="_blank" href=http://vyaskn.tripod.com/sql_server_administration_best_practices.htm>http://vyaskn.tripod.com/sql_server_administration_best_practices.htm</a><br /><br />–<br />Frank Kalis<br />Microsoft SQL Server MVP<br /<a target="_blank" href=http://www.insidesql.de>http://www.insidesql.de</a><br />Ich unterstütze PASS Deutschland e.V. <a target="_blank" href=http://www.sqlpass.de>http://www.sqlpass.de</a>) <br />

Anita You can achieve it with constant learning and put into practice, review all the links referred above and feel free to ask any doubts you’ve. But before that have a thorough lookup in books online about the topic. On the lighter side I was never been to a training institute to learn/know SQL Server, all I have learnt from my experience. Hi Anita,
My office sent me on a 5 day course on SQL Server, but i have found i learnt a lot more using it that in the course. You can download the SQL Server 2005 June CTP for free off the microsoft website at the moment- get it and have a play!
