What happens to my database?

Today I browse the SQL Server log and find ‘Could not adjust the space allocation for file ‘QIS_Data”.There is no more information!I dont know what operation raise this message! What happens to my database! Help!!!Thanks!!!
I have check my disk free space and it is still big enogh!!!

How often you run DBCC CHECKDB or DBREINDEX statements on this database?
Check event viewer log for more information for any hardware issues. Satya SKJ
