Here is Microsoft’s description and feature comparison: http://www.microsoft.com/sql/prodinfo/features/compare-features.mspx Developer edition is the same as Enterprise Edition, but with licensing restrictions that exclude its use in production environments. -Greg
But I wouldn’t suggest Developer edition in place of SQLExpress, due to the limitations. Satya SKJ
