WIN2K SP Update

Howdy, We have upgraded a SQL 2000 box running WIN2K SP2 from SQL 2000 SP2 to SQL 2000 SP3A. We want to take WIN2K to SP3 and was wondering if we need to re-apply the
SQL SP3A after WIN2K has been updated? Do SQL SPs overwrite any windows files or is just SQL files?
Also, does IE overwrite any files? Thank in advance,
You need to not worry about what files are overwritten or updated on this one. Update both those boxes to the latest SP and critical patch level immediately. There are a lot more serious implications by having them at the levels they are currently at. MeanOldDBA

Service packs are individual for Windows and SQL and only MDAC versions will be replaced, I think nothing to worry on this part. The latest service pack will take care of this issue and on the windows part upgrade it to SP4 and refer tohttp://www.microsoft.com/security for the latest security patches for Windows specifically.
