Witness Server Requirements

I already read that the witness server only needs to have SQL Express installed and should be the same OS as the other servers. However, what are the requirements on the server itself: memory, hard drive space, etc.? Is anything really stored on the witness server or can it be a pretty basic server (or even pc)? Thanks in advance.

I actually found more information on MSDN. I am still curious as to what others are using for their witness server. http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms175191.aspx
I have install Witness box with SQLExpress with a 1gb memory and 64 gb machine which is running without any problems. I would suggest to use server and not a desktop PC as it may lead to other problems in the future if 3 are not on same subnet. Satya SKJ

In regard to you last comment, must all 3 servers be on the same subnet?
