xp_sendmail error

Hi,
When i execute exec xp_sendmail ‘<email address
here>’, ‘Testing’ I get the following error message Server: Msg 18025, Level 16, State 1, Line 0
xp_sendmail: failed with mail error 0x80004005 If i execute xp_startmail it tells me that the mail
session already
started. I have recreated the startup account, email profile etc.
Still have the problem. Tried googling and searched in MS website, but in vain could
not find the solution for the above error. But when the job fails on this server I am getting mails, I know Its
weird, Any ideas of what may be causing this problem. Thanks in advance

Also ensure the SQLMail profile has been created without any errors, if not try to recreate it again and check the referred KBA. Satya SKJ
