How to set memory for SQL and OLAP

Hello, Suppose total RAm Memory in a server is 16GB. In that ,SQLserver is configured with max memory of 15 GB leaving aside 1 GB for OS.( My understanding is SQL Server and OLAP server are 2 different entities and have their own memory requirements and with this settings i assume the OLAP Server would use the available of the remaining 1 GB and the available virtual memory. Please let me know how to go about reconfiguring it. If my understanding is not correct, how we can set the memory for OLAP now. Then point me out how the sql server and OLAP will use their memory while running, whether it will parallely share it? Thanks in advance. Regards
Suresh.
