Merge replication tips
We are going to implement merge replication on one of the service, before hand I would like to have information on performance of merge replicaton. I had gone through books online, which has the information but any other tip is appreciated. We 6 publications replicating to 12 sites worldwide. Besides the info found on this site, the info I wish I knew 18 months ago is:
Create foreign keys on the Subscriber with the ‘NOT FOR REPLCIATION’ option.
Prepare to handle conflicts becasue they will occur.
Minimise the amount of merge data kept at the Publisher and Subscriber by using the retention property of the Publication.
Have a seperate, and possibly a higher spec, server to Publishe th data.
