MS04-011 and SQL 2000 Cluster

We have two SQL 2000 clusters in active passive mode. SQL 2000 with SP2 running on Win2k SP3 Ist Cluster
1.We applied ms04-011 to first sql cluster and after that we had problem in starting the cluster but with Microsoft engaged we got the problem resolved
IId Cluster
1. We applied patch to Second cluster on the passive node and after that server kept rebooting. We applied patch to active node and that kept rebooting too. 2. We removed the patch from both nodes, cluster was workig fine.
Is anyone observing the same problem or can shed some insight will be highly appeciated. Thanks in advance!!!

We didn’t apply this patch since we had issues with earlier patches and HP Secure Path software. What was Microsoft’s solution to your first problem?
We applied the patch and had no issues. We are also running SQL Server 2000 with SP3 in an active/passive cluster. —————————–

The Microsoft solution was actually fix to the disk signatures …which is a fix that has been included in Win2k SP4.
Remove ‘/PAE’ from boot.ini
Thanks everyone for the input. It was conflict of Monitoring software provided DLL for disk with Disk Controller Driver DLLs. Once the Disk controller provided dlls were changed to higher level. It worked fine.

We are experiencing kind of the same problem.
Do you have a link to the Microsoft site with the solution?
Thanks in advance.
