performance without subscription
Hi, I recently removed all the subscriptions that I had for a transactional publication. I left the publication on. The reason that I did this was to increase performance for the time being. It doesn’t seem to have worked. The log reader is still marking transaction, and I still see some slow responses. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks for your help, BenI would like to know the reason for deleting subscriptions and keeping alone publication.
Refer to thishttp://www.sql-server-performance.com/replication_tuning.asp link for replication performance tip that might help. _________

As Satya hinted, the removal of subscribes won’t help performance of the publisher… It may help performance for the distributer (since there is nothing to actually distribute) hence there seems to be little point in keeping the publication without having any subscribers Cheers
