plz suggest suitable replication.
Hi All, I am new to replication.I would like you guys to suggest with reason , which replication to use in this case. The System———–
There is a cetralized database at the home office and there will be temp. offices set up for operation.Each temp office will have a instance of sql server.Each temp offices have to replicate daily transactions.Also while updating the home office, the temp offices should get updated of any changes in home office. Should there be any thing kept in mind (Regarding replication), when database is designed. Here the connection with home office will very slow may be 12 kbps, dial -up. Please advice.

As you need both ways of updation you need Merge Replication.

Hi Thanks for the replies, those helped a lot in understanding replication. Database design for replication is still our concern.Do we have to do anything special related to replication. Here each remote office will be making there own updates.Each table has a Primary key (a identity column). Wont this identity column from diff remote office create conflicts at centralized database. I would like to know , what things to be kept in mind when database has to be designed for replication. We are goin to do Merge replication.
–WE have a centralized office and temprory and mobile remote offices.
–Network connection is slow. I didn’t find any thing regarding database design in the above link. Thank You Regards
