Remove instance from cluster

We have two Win2K SQL clustered servers. I need to remove one SQL instance from the cluster without affecting the other SQL instance.
Unfortunately, I never worked with the clusters. Can anyone tell me how to do it? Or at least point me to the right direction/resources? Appreciate any help.
